Government of Bangladesh has trained over 60,000 farmers in modern cotton cultivation, and has set up 3,050 demonstration plots for a project initiated to increase cotton production. There are around 5,000 garment factories and over 450 spinning mills in Bangladesh, which is among the top importers of cotton, while India is one of the largest exporters.
