Barley prices up in Jaipur as supplies decline

Prices of barley rose in Jaipur as supplies of the grain declined amid rising demand from feed industries. Arrivals of the grain are estimated at 20,000 bags (1bag=85kg), down 20,000 bags from previous close. Farmers are holding their produce in anticipation of a further rise in prices. Limited purchases from malt industries, following quality concerns in the arrivals capped gains in prices.
