Export prices of Thailand rice fall this week.

Export prices of most rice varieties in Thailand fell over the last seven days. Prices fell on poor demand from Iran, and also because of competitive prices from India. In June, 25% broken non-basmati rice from India was exported at $361 a tn, while from Thailand, it was sold at $441 a tn. Demand declined from Iran, a major importer, as domestic rice harvest began in the west Asian country. In Thailand, the prices of the 5% and 25% broken white rice fell by $29 and $22 per tn to $410 and $393 per tn, respectively, this week.
