The International Coffee Organization has estimated global coffee production during 2017-18 (Oct-Sep) at around 158.8 mln bags (1 bag =60 kg), up 0.7% on year. The organisation has also revised 2016-17 annual world coffee output to 157.7 mln bags, from its previous estimate of 157.4 mln bags. Globally, Robusta production in 2017-18 is expected to rise 3.7% on year to 61.5 mln bags, largely due to a rebound in output in Vietnam.
