Due to low production of sugar in the country govt can increase stock limit on sugar for another six month so that its black marketing cannot be incourage. Ministery of consumer Affair has already given cabinet note for this. This year only 203 lakh tonne sugar is estimated to be produced in the country while the domestic consumtion is between 240-250 lakh tonne. Although last year 77 lakh tonne of stock is left but still fears the supply. Central govt has approved the import of 5 lakh tonne of duty free sugar.
