IMD’s Agrimet has recommended that farmers in Madhya Pradesh use pesticides and pheromone traps to protect their cotton crop from pests and insects. The weather is conducive for pest attack on cotton and use of pesticide and pheromone trap can protect the plants from getting damaged. The state is among the leading growers of cotton in the country. During Jun 1-Jul 23, the state received 8% above-normal rainfall. Rains at this time may help in the growth of the plant.
