Prices of maize were steady across key spot markets due to subdued demand amid tapering supply.

Currently, arrivals are almost half of the levels a fortnight ago. Prices were largely unchanged as bulk buyers retrained from purchasing in large quantities at higher price levels.

Prices are seen firming up in the coming days as market participants anticipate the supply crunch to persist till late March due to lower availability of kharif crop with farmers and stockists.
