India Spot wheat down on high arrivals.

Prices of wheat fell in key spot markets due to higher arrivals and subdued demand. In Kota, Rajasthan, the mill-quality wheat was sold at 1,950-2,000 rupees per 100 kg, down 20-25 rupees. Arrivals in Kota doubled to 4,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg). In Indore, Madhya Pradesh, prices of the mill-quality wheat fell by 25 rupees to 1,925-1,975 rupees per 100 kg. Arrivals were pegged at 200 bags higher at 1,200 bags. Arrivals were pegged at 200 bags higher from Saturday at 1,200 bags. Wheat trade in physical markets are likely to remain subdued because bulk buyers largely purchase the food grain from the weekly government auctions under the open market sales scheme.
