Indonesia’s Bulog gets leeway to import 20,000-tn India rice Mar-end.

Indonesia has granted state-owned food logistics company Bulog leeway to import 20,000 tn of rice from Indian company Ameer Chand until March end. Ameer Chand could not fulfil the export contract of 20,000 tn of rice by Feb 28 due to a strict shipment schedule. The trade ministry has allowed us to extend the delivery time to the end of March. This leeway will help boost our rice stock. Ameer Chand was one of the six overseas companies that had signed export contracts in mid-January to supply 281,000 tn of rice to Bulog.
