Prices of mustard seed hit a more than two-year low in Jaipur, on likely higher output of mustard seed in 2016-17 (Jul-Jun). Mustard seed production is seen at 7.0 million tonne, higher than 5.8 million tonne in the previous year, said Solvent Extractor Association. Arrivals across the country are estimated at 340,000 bags (1 bag = 85kg) today, compared with 320,000 bags on previous day. Increased arrivals amid weak demand from domestic oil millers and crushers also weighed on prices.
