Prices of mustard seed fell in Jaipur today due to a surge in arrivals amid subdued demand from domestic stockists. Demand from domestic buyers was subdued as prices had hit a near two-week high. Arrivals across the country were estimated at 160,000 bags (1 bag = 85 kg) compared with 80,000 bags on 29 Sep. Supply has doubled because farmers have been offloading stocks to take advantage of the recent run up in prices.
