The Maharashtra government has extended the deadline for registering to procure moong, urad and soybean under the minimum support price to Nov 15. Earlier, the deadline for procurement of moong and urad was Oct 24, while that for soybean was Oct 31. The state government will procure fair average-quality moong at 6,975 rupees per 100 kg and urad at 5,600 rupees. The output of kharif moong in the country in 2018-19 (Jul-Jun) is estimated at 1.58 mln tn, while urad production is expected to be 2.65 mln tn.
