Futures contracts of maize on the NCDEX ended lower due to a rise in stocks of the commodity at exchange-accredited warehouses. Maize stocks at the warehouses were at 6,598 tn as of Wednesday, compared with 4,255 tn a month ago. Acreage of the commodity down 5.1% on year at 7.9 mln ha, which cushioned the fall in prices.
