Prices of mentha oil were down in the key spot markets of Uttar Pradesh due to an increase in arrivals of the spice oil, coupled with lacklustre demand from stockists. Arrivals of mentha oil in Barabanki were estimated at 90 drums (1drum=180kg), compared with 40 drums. Expectations of higher output of mentha in 2016-17(Jul-Jun) also weighed on sentiment.
