The Philippine government will attempt to secure suppliers for the 703,000 metric tons (MT) of imported rice in a couple of bidding processes all set for next week. Instead of three separate bidding processes in two weeks interval, the government will now do it twice. first through a government-to-government (G2G) importation of 203,000 MT of rice and then through a government-to-private (G2P) importation of 500,000 MT of rice.
