Soybean prices marginally higher due to decline in arrivals.

Soybean prices in Indore were marginally higher due to decline in arrivals. Gains were capped as crushing plants and exporters refrained from bulk buying at high price levels.

In Indore, soybean was sold for 3,770-3,860 rupees per 100 kg, slightly up from previous day, with arrivals in Madhya Pradesh, the largest grower, pegged at 85,000-90,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg), down 5,000 bags from the previous day.

Soybean futures on NCDEX, however, edged lower due to profit booking after it rose to a high of 3,880 rupees per 100 kg. The February contract was down 0.6% at 3,835 rupees per 100 kg.
