FCI to auction 1,307 tonne moong via NCDEX e-Markets.

Food Corp of India offer 1,307.1 tonne of moong and 770.4 tonne of urad for auction through NCDEX e-Markets. The pulses to be auctioned are stocked at godowns in Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. FCI is selling pulses through NCDEX e-markets to dispose of its huge stock built through procurement from farmers and high imports in 2016-17. (Apr-Mar).

NAFED begins procuring moong in Karnataka to help support prices.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India started procuring moong sown during the kharif season in Karnataka from Oct 03. After demand from the Karnataka government, started procuring moong from farmers in two districts of the state under the price support scheme, adding that the agency is already buying moong in Telangana since middle of last month.

NAFED procures 168 MT of kharif moong in Telangana.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has procured 168 tn of moong grown in the kharif season under the price support scheme in Telangana. The procurement is underway in Mahabubnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Zaheerabad, Ranga Reddy, Suryapet, Narayankhed and Vikarabad districts. NAFED started procuring the pulse mid-September. Around 250 farmers have sold their crop to the agency.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has so far procured 45 tonne of moong grown in the kharif season under the price support scheme in Telangana. The procurement drive that started in the middle of September was underway in Mahabubnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Zaheerabad, Ranga Reddy and Suryapet districts. NAFED started procuring moong as market prices fell below the minimum support price of 5,450 rupees per 100 kg, inclusive of a bonus.

NAFED to auction 9,980 tn moong via NCDEX e-Markets.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has offered 9,979.95 tn of moong for auction through NCDEX e-Markets. The pulse is stocked at Central Warehousing Corp and other godowns in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.

NAFED procures 21 tonne of kharif moong in Telangana.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has procured 21 tonne of moong grown in the kharif season under the price support scheme in Telangana. The procurement drive, which started last week, was underway in Mahabubnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Zaheerabad and Ranga Reddy districts. Fresh arrivals of the crop have started in the state and peak up in a fortonneight. NAFED started procuring the moong as market prices fell below the minimum support price of 5,450 rupees per 100 kg, inclusive of a bonus.

The National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India has offered 9,942.19 tonne of moong and 1,434.71 tonne of urad for auction through NCDEX e-Markets. The pulses are stocked at warehouses in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Telangana.

Rajasthan Govt to purchase moong, peanuts under PSS.

State government has decided that the purchase of moong and peanuts under the scheme of Price Support Scheme (PSS) this time. Purchase done through National Agriculture Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED). Under this scheme, there is a possibility that mandi tax removed by the state government. This tax is paid by the farmers to the state government and last year because of this tax, there were problems in purchase of peanuts in the state.

Moong down in Jaipur as supplies increase.

Prices of moong in the benchmark market of Jaipur were down, as supplies in local markets increased. Although arrivals in Kalaburgi are unchanged from previous close, they were higher from a week ago, and this was seen creating bearish sentiment. A sharp fall in prices of pulses was prevented because of concern about a smaller lower crop in Rajasthan and Karnataka.
