Ukrainian farmers had sown 2209 Th ha of early spring cereals and pulses (92% of forecast) by May 7. Early spring cereals occupied as much as 2297 Th ha by May 5, 2017. This includes 158 Th ha of spring wheat (90%) against 167 Th ha in 2017 and 1462 Th ha of spring barley (92%) against 1555 Th ha last year.
