The first snow fell in Kyiv yesterday, November 14. The precipitation streak stretched through central Ukraine and parts of southern Russia. Up to 4 cm of snow has been staying on the ground for 24 hours now. Approximately 190 Th ha of corn (4% of acreage) remains unharvested in snow-covered regions. These involve some of the most productive areas, where this year’s yield averages roughly 9.5 MT/ha.
