Arrivals of cotton in major spot markets across the country are almost unchanged on 22 august at 3,200 bales (1 bale = 170 kg). In Gujarat, arrivals were at 800 bales, around 900 bales in Maharashtra, 500 bales in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, and 1,000 bales in Karnataka. There are no arrivals in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh as the arrival season is at its fag end.
