Despite lower arrivals, prices of barley in Jaipur fell due to subdued trading by market participants following summer holidays. Arrivals of the new crop of barley were estimated at 50,000 bags (1bag=85kg), compared with 70,000 bags. Repid demand from malt industries also weighed on prices. The most-active May contract of barley on the NCDEX was traded down 0.19%.
