Barley prices up in Jaipur on fall in supplies.

Barley prices up in Jaipur due to shrinking supplies and strong demand from feed sector. Arrivals of the grain are estimated at 10,000 bags (1 bag = 85 kg) down 5,000 bags from previous close. The fall in supplies is primarily on account of lower participation by traders due to the ongoing summer break. However, limited demand from malt industries following concerns over quality of arrivals capped the gains in prices. On the NCDEX, the most-active June contract traded up 0.30%
