CBOT wheat at near 7-month high on crop damage concern

Wheat futures on the CBOT hit a nearly seven-month high of $4.8550 a bushel because of concerns over damage to crop in the US following persistent dry weather USDA report on crop condition, only 12% wheat in Kansas, the largest wheat producing state in the US, was in good to excellent condition, down two percentage points from a month ago. Crop condition also deteriorated in Oklahoma, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota, Nebraska, and Colorado.
