IMD’s Agrimet has advised farmers in Gujarat to spray insecticide on cotton crop to avoid the spread of white fly and boll warm. High moisture and cloudy weather leads to insect attack. The spread of these two can hurt yield of cotton crop. During Jun 1-Sep 26, Gujarat received 798.8 mm rainfall, 20% above normal.
