In Madhya Pradesh Mandi tax will not be levied

According to market source, In Madhya Pradesh Mandi tax will not be levied from April 1, due to which the prices of pulses may come down. Because of this, pulses of other states are sold at Rs 2 per kg less than Madhya Pradesh.

Chana prices in the benchmark the market were down as daily arrivals increased despite good demand from dal millers and bulk buyers. Chana was sold at 5,000-5,100 rupees per 100 kg in Indore, down 100-150 rupees from. and arrivals were pegged higher at 5,100 bags, compared with 3,070 bags. Prices are seen falling to around 4,800 rupees in the first week of April when daily supply picks up pace gradually.
