Prices of mustard seed were down in Jaipur due to higher arrivals of oilseed in the market, coupled with sluggish demand from domestic oil millers and crushers. Arrivals across the country were estimated at 500,000 bags (1bag=85kg) compared with 440,000 bags. Lower consumption of mustard oil due to rising temperature also weighed on mustard seed prices. On the NCDEX, the most-active May contract of mustard seed traded down 1.41%.
