NCDEX barley at 14-month low on rise in inventories.

Futures contract of barley hit a 14-month low because of rise in stocks at the exchange warehouses. On the NCDEX, the most-active May contract traded down 0.2%. As on 8 May, stocks of barley at the exchange warehouses are at 9,723 tonne, compared with 9,413 tonne a week ago. Sluggish demand from the malt industry also weighed on the sentiment.
