The October contract of mustard seed on NCDEX hit a five-week low of 4,012 rupees per 100 kg tracking spot markets, where prices fell due to weak demand from oil millers. the front-month October contract and the most active November contract were both down 0.5% at 4,025 rupees and 4,137 rupees per 100 kg. In Jaipur, the benchmark market, the oilseed was sold at 4,225-4,230 per 100 kg, down 10 rupees. A rise in arrivals also weighed on prices of the oilseed. Arrivals in Rajasthan was estimated at 120,000 bags (1 bag = 85 kg) today, up 50,000 bags. The data for arrivals on Wednesday was not available.
