Incidents of pink bollworm attacks have been reported in many parts of key cotton growing areas in south India and Gujarat. In many cases, (presence of) pink bollworms have crossed the threshold level. Two insects on a plant are enough to breach the threshold level. Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu are major cotton growing in southern India. Some incidents of bollworm attacks have also been reported in Gujarat.
