Pinto beans see frost in Brazil.

Producers in southern Saskatchewan have begun seeding pulses. Commercial pea stocks in Canada are up over the same time last year. The total amount of dry pea stocks in Canada is 1.70 million tonnes, compared to 1.35 million tonnes last year. Brazil dry bean crop has been damaged by frost. So far, local prices for Carioca (pinto) beans have held steady but that could change. Pinto beans on the Prairies are also keeping firm at 39 cents per pound. Bids for pintos in North Dakota fell by half a cent in the most recent report to 39.2 cents per pound.
