Prices of soybean in Indore edged higher due to a steep fall in arrivals.

Arrivals in Madhya Pradesh, the largest grower, were pegged at 100,000 bags (1 bag = 100 kg), down 300,000 bags. Arrivals were lower in the state due to inadequate transport facility on account of the ongoing poll campaigns. In the key market of Indore, the oilseed was sold at 3,350-3,375 rupees per 100 kg, up 15-20 rupees. Tracking gains in physical markets, the December soybean contract on NCDEX was also up 0.5% at 3,405 rupees per 100 kg.
