Arrivals of the fresh crop of rice are gradually picking pace in the key growing state of Punjab. The price of the new crop of Pusa basmati 1121, arrivals of which started just four days ago, was at 3,600 rupees per 100 kg in Kapurthala. The price of non-basmati varieties also remained steady at about 2,500 rupees per 100 kg.
