Tamil Nadu government releases Rs 247 crore as special incentive price for sugarcane farmers: Tamil Nadu government issued anorder to allocate Rs 247 crore as a special incentive price for sugarcane farmers who supplied their produce to sugar mills during the 2023-24 crushing season.
This initiative will benefit 1.2 lakh sugarcane farmers in the state. An official release stated, “Farmers who delivered cane to two public sector mills, 12 cooperative mills, and 16 private mills during the 2023-24 season will receive Rs 3,134.75 per metric tonne"
