The procurement centers have received 5.62 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far in the special procurement campaign. The procurement which commenced on November 15 will carry on till January 31, 2018. Notably, the Chhattisgarh State Co-operative Marketing Federation (MARKED) has advanced Rs 40.22 crore to Co-operative Central Banks for Co-operative Committees in 1992 procurement centres for paddy purchase.
