Supplyco has procured a total of 4.76 lakh tonnes of paddy in the State since October last and paid Rs. 880.77 crore to farmers. By next month, this is expected to reach five lakh tonne. Alappuzha and Palakkad districts had taken the lead in paddy collection, contributing 1.5 lakh tonne and 1.49 lakh tonne respectively.
