IMD’s Agrimet division has advised farmers in Punjab to sow wheat as the prevailing weather conditions are suitable for it. Farmers should also begin irrigating the fields before the sowing. Agrimet also advised farmers not to treat the seed with pesticides a month before sowing as it hampers germination.
