Arrivals of cotton in major spot markets across the country are almost steady at 2,600 bales (1 bale = 170 kg) on 28 aug. In Gujarat, arrivals are at 800 bales. In Maharashtra, they were around 800 bales, while in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh arrivals are at 300 bales, and 700 bales in Karnataka. There are no arrivals in Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh as the 2016-17 (Oct-Sep) season is coming to an end.
