Arrivals of cotton in major spot markets across the country at 5,200 bales (1 bale = 170 kg), slightly higher from 5,000 bales on 8 Sep. Arrivals of the new cotton crop estimated at around 1,500 bales in Haryana and 800 bales in Punjab. In Gujarat, the largest producer, arrivals of the old crop were at 800 bales. In Maharashtra, they were at around 1,300 bales, while in Madhya Pradesh arrivals were at 800 bales. There are no arrivals in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
