Govt of Bangladesh and Myanmar have signed a treaty to import rice. The minister told that Bangladesh proposed to import 1 MMT of rice initially, but Myanmar only agreed to export one-tenth of the amount. Each ton of rice imported from Myanmar will cost $442 or Tk 35,360.
