Brazil’s coffee exports fell 15.5% on month to 2.2 mln bags (1bag=60 kg) in April, Brazilian Coffee Exporters Council, known by its Portuguese acronym CECAFE. On a yearly basis, Brazil’s coffee exports fell 0.1% in April. Brazil is the largest producer and exporter of coffee in the world. Exports of the Arabica variety fell 13.6% on month to 1.9 mln bags in April, while Robusta shipments declined 25.4% to 53,472 bags. Continuing with the forecasted scenario, Brazilian coffee exports in April reflected the time between harvests, with exports that met the demand of global importers, but with a volume below previous months.
