Canada has revised downwards its estimate for output of most pulses in 2017-18 (Aug-Jul). Government agency slashed its estimate for output of dry peas by 3.5% to 4.1 million tonne for 2017-18, primarily due to a decline in average yields as well as acreage. The agency consequently increased its forecast for average price during 2017-18 to $275-$305 per tonne as against its April estimate of $255-$285.
