Cabbage semiloopers, tobacco caterpillar, and Bihar hairy caterpillar attacks have been spotted in the standing crop of rice in some parts of Punjab. These attacks are common when the weather turns humid after rains. The Agrimet has advised farmers to spray insecticides on the crop to control the insects attack.
