CBOT soybean up over 1% on less-than-expected sowing.

Futures contracts of soybean on CBOT high of 9.655 cents per bushel due to a less than expected sowing of the oilseed in the US. July soybean contract traded at $9.6050 a bushel on CBOT up 1.9%. USDA expects farmers to sow 89.5 mln acres of soybeans this year, lower than analysts forecasts but still the largest acreage on record. The report further said citing US farm department that farmers also planted more corn than initially estimated, boosting its acreage total by almost 1 mln acres to an estimated 90.9 mln. Export demand for the oilseed from China is also seen supporting upside in the prices.
