Futures contracts of wheat fell nearly 1% on CBOT today because of weak demand for US grain after heavy rains hit the US Midwest wheat growing belt. Heavy rains in the US have already reduced area under wheat by 0.15 Mha. Also, a record harvest of wheat in Russia also led exporters to buy from Russia and not the US.
