CBOT wheat up as US 2018-19 acreage seen falling.

Futures contracts of wheat rose on the CBOT due to expectation of a fall in acreage in the US in 2018-19. USDA pegged the country’s wheat acreage in 2018-19 at 45 mln acre (1 acre = 0.405 ha), down from 46 mln acre in the previous year. The winter wheat crop in the US is sown during autumn and harvested in spring.
