CBOT wheat up nearly 1% on crop damage concerns.

Wheat futures on the CBOT rose nearly 1% due to concerns of damage to spring crop following hot and dry weather conditions in growing regions. According to USDA around 31% of the country’s spring wheat crop is in good or excellent condition as of 30 July. That is the lowest reading for a spring wheat crop on data going back to 1995, falling below 32% figures recorded late in the 2006 growing season.
