China response to new U.S. tariffs will hurt U.S. wheat farmers.

With the announcement today that China intends to retaliate against the latest proposed U.S. tariffs, hard-working U.S. farmers are clearly in the line of fire from what looks more and more like an escalating trade war with China. U.S. Wheat Associates and the National Association of Wheat Growers believe wheat farmers are going to get hurt by the 25 percent tariffs China quickly proposed after the U.S. government announced new tariffs on $50 billion of imported Chinese goods on April 4, 2018.
