Corn exports from Ukraine are at a five-year low.

Corn exports from Ukraine were brisk in December-March 2017/18, except for a slight downturn in February. However, they still lag behind last year as the country’s corn export potential is lower in MY 2017/18. Ukraine exported 2.44 MMT of corn in March 2018, i.e. 20% more than in February (2.03 MMT) but 22% less than in March 2017 (3.13 MMT). About 11 MMT of corn was supplied to foreign markets from Ukraine in the first seven months of the season that is 19% less than at the same time a year ago (13.59 MMT). The current pace of Ukrainian corn exports is the slowest since MY 2012/13.
