Corn planting started in Romania.

Increased air temperatures (4-6°С above long-term normal) set in all over the country last week. The average air temperature varied within a range of +7..+18°С. Air temperature on the Bulgaria border reached +25°С. Precipitation occurred mostly in the western part of the country (10-15 mm). Snow is gone almost everywhere. Moisture supply is optimal and satisfactory in all of the country’s farming regions – this is favorable for crop growth. Occasional fields in the south-west are flooded. The average daytime temperature of the topsoil (5 cm) grew to +7..+17°С. This favored planting of spring crops as well as the start of corn planting
