Prices of chana are up in Delhi as arrivals are lower than expected. Arrivals of chana in Delhi are at 525 tonne and in Bikaner are 2,500 bags. Average daily arrivals of chana in Bikaner during this period normally is 10,000 bags (1bag=100kg). According to the 3rd advance estimate, govt had cut output estimate of the chana to 9.08 million tonne from earlier estimate of 9.12 million tonne in 2016-17 (Jul-Jun).
